Welcome to TEDx MMU

leave a comment »

In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxMMU, where x = independently organized TED event. At TEDxMMU, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

April 10, 2010 is the day (and is less than a week away!)

TEDxMMU begins at 9:00 a.m. sharp on April 10, 2010 in E-Theatre, FCM and will run until 2:30 p.m. The afternoon will be divided into 80-minute sessions with 20-minute breaks between each session. There will be
between three and five presenters in each presentation block. Following the last session, there will be a reception that will run about 40 minutes.

We expect you to stay for the whole conference, unless there are extenuating circumstances
beyond your control. We also expect that you are prepared to converse with audience members about the Talks during the breaks. During the event, you will be seated in the audience and will enter the stage from the floor.TED audiences are just as diverse and experienced as the presenters, and we want to make TEDxMMU a relaxing environment where everyone feels comfortable exchanging ideas.
